Use of the seal

If a cryptocurrency you issue appears in this register, you may display the mark and link to this office.

This office records cryptocurrencies it knows of and has examined — coins that can be held in a wallet and that exist on a public ledger. The seal records that fact. It is not a rating, a recommendation, or a promise of value.

Permission

An issuer may use the seal when every one of these is true.

  1. The coin is on the register. It must currently appear here, live or pre-chain. A listing that has been struck may not carry the mark.
  2. The mark is unaltered. It may be scaled. It may not be recoloured, restyled, cropped, or combined with other type or devices.
  3. The mark is a link. It must point to this register — either the coin’s own listing or the register itself.
  4. No endorsement is implied. Surrounding copy must not say that this office recommends the coin, rates it, or attests to its price, safety, or prospects.

Prefer the vector. Use the compact PNG on ordinary pages. Use the print PNG for press and large display. Ink on transparent is for a light ground. The wafer — ink on the register’s cream — is for a dark ground, and for print on white paper.

Withdrawal

If a coin is struck from the register, permission ends on the day the striking is published. Remove the mark. The certificate number remains as a record; the seal does not.
